Sharia’s Closet provides free, emergency clothing to those experiencing a financial hardship or crisis. It connects with community members in need through direct referrals from a wide and long-standing network of schools and service agencies.
Support from The Seacove Fund will be used to purchase hygiene products and clothing to supplement donations. It will also use funds to pay new staff, including clothing and shoe sorters, personal shoppers, and data entry specialists. |
Special Delivery San Diego was founded by a grandmother who saw a need to provide fresh and healthy home-delivered meals to people with HIV/AIDS. Since 1991, the volunteer-driven, grassroots nonprofit organization has grown to offer groceries from its Food Pantry Program as well as diabetes education and nutrition from its Diabetes Nutrition Program.
Special Delivery will use its grant funds to provide healthy food to vulnerable individuals and families in San Diego. |
T3 Triple Threat Performing Arts provides disadvantaged youth creative outlets to reach their full potential and develop their talent in a multidisciplinary community of artists.
The grant from The Seacove Fund will be used to make performing arts education more accessible by supporting need-based scholarships and to pay for equipment and rent expenditures at the North Park Recreation Center, where T3 provides year-round arts education. |
Friends of Tecolote Canyon is a non-profit community organization committed to sponsoring nature education and restoration activities in Tecolote Canyon Natural Park. It organizes an environmental education program, the Environmental Stewards Canyon Program (ESCAPe), for area school children to participate in nature walks and learn from local experts about ecology, habitat restoration, and carbon sequestration.
Grant funding will allow for more San Diego students to have meaningful, nature-based experiences at Tecolote Canyon Natural Park in the upcoming year. |
Sister Cities Project nurtures partnerships that unite communities in San Diego with different racial and economic backgrounds to foster connection, support, and transformative change.
Support from The Seacove Fund will allow Sister Cities Project to continue its core initiatives aimed at reducing racism and addressing the racial wealth gap in San Diego County through programs that focus on business growth, workforce development, and building community connections. |
The BIPOC Support Foundation (BSF) is dedicated to uplifting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in San Diego by offering education and training, mentorship, environmental access, and wellness resources.
The Seacove Fund grant will assist BSF’s Scholastic Opportunities for Academic Readiness (SOAR) program at Valencia Park Elementary School that will provide a 6-week literacy program for 20 students currently below reading level. Funding will cover personnel costs, curriculum development, and literacy supplies, ensuring that instruction is precisely aligned with each student's academic level and learning style. |
